WAVKILN IS A PROGRAM THAT VISUALIZES sound data in three-dimensional space. The inspiration for the project emerged from experimenting with using number lists from BBEdit as instructions for constructing 3D models in Maya. This realization opened up the potential for linking more tangible source information into that three-dimensional environment.

I made this software to streamline the process, allowing for real-time creation and manipulation of 3D forms with sound, and the interpretation of 3D (often jarringly) as sound through MIDI. I then printed some of the results as gypsum models using a rapid prototyper. So, would you like earings of your grandmother's tidings or a sculpture of your favorite song?
